HOUSING
The GMDC recognizes the ongoing housing challenges within Morris County. To address this issue, we have dedicated time and resources to hosting a series of events aimed at fostering collaboration. Through these gatherings, we hope to bring community members together to work toward effective solutions for improving housing in our area.
GMDC HOUSING ASSESSMENT
The GMDC recently commissioned a comprehensive housing study for Morris County, encompassing both rural areas and the communities of Council Grove, White City, and Dwight.
Conducted by RDG Planning & Design, this study was made possible through a partnership between the GMDC, the Morris County Commission, and the City of Council Grove.

You may qualify for a grant that could cover improvements to your residence!
A limited number of grants are available annually. Homeowners must occupy the home. Funds are made available via The Federal Home Loan Bank of Topeka and our member partner, Farmers and Drovers Bank in Council Grove.
BECOME A SERVICE PROVIDER
The GMDC is now accepting applications from contractors who would like to become service providers of our Owner-Occupied Home Rehab Program.
